Viv -- I think there's a theme here. If I recall correctly, Muscovy ducks are renowned for their fly-eating ability. Could it be that because of your apparent susceptibilty to insect enemies, you are subcosciously attracted to a breed that might, just might, be able to act as your protector? Just a theory, but pretty compelling, I'd say.
